Week 3 - Things 7 - 10

I'm starting to feel that I'm not too far behind in technology since I had already done Thing 7 and 8. The lists I had made before were for Summer Reading Club and Hackmatack so I decided to make a personal list of books I have read recently. I hadn't commented on any books on Bibliocommons so I have now done that, and I also found someone to follow. Maybe I'll try some of their books. Oh, and I guess I'm pretty cool since I already have the "cool extra thing" - a Good Reads account.

Week 2 Thing 4 - 6
This week was easy since I have had a Twitter account for a few years now. I didn't use it very much as first but find that I am looking at it more and more. I don't tweet or retweet often, but I have done it a few times. I must say I was rather thrilled when I sent a tweet to #murdochmysteries about one of the episodes (the one about zombies) and immediately got a tweet from lead actor Yannick Bisson saying "no spoiler alerts now Altlantic Canada."

You are probably wondering why this blog is called Brocklehurst Grove. When my daughter was young (she's still young but I mean about 9 or 10) one of her favourite books was "The Mennyms" by Sylvia Waugh. There are five books in the series about a family of life size dolls ( I know it sounds a little creepy but it' s really not. In fact the books won awards, had many starred reviews, and the New York Times called it ...A marvelous, magical series, which is destined to become a classic." The Mennyms lived at No. 5 Brocklehurst Grove in London, England. We spent many happy hours curled up together with these books, and sometimes the boys would join in as well. In honour of the series I decided to call this blog Brocklehust Grove.
